It has been another busy couple of days at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium with three exciting new signings through the door. The first one is centre-back Ethan Mann who joins on a season-long loan from Stockport County, who them selves have only just captured him from John McGrath’s former club Mickleover. Midfielder Liam Ravenhill (Pictured) joins us from Doncaster Rovers and is the son of former player and current assistant manager Ricky. Liam made 16 first team appearances for Doncaster and had loan spells at Mickleover, AFC Telford United, Blyth Spartans and Spennymoor Town. The third signing is goalkeeper True Grant who joins us from Manchester City on a season loan. True joined City from Derby County and has represented City in the Under18’s and last season was a regular in the Premier League 2 side, the UEFA Youth League team and was part of the first team squad that played Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League. He was also the goalkeeper when City lifted the FA Youth Cup last May and is the son of former Derby ‘keeper Lee Grant.
On Tuesday night the Bucks went down 3-1 at Rossington Main in the latest pre-season match when, like Saturday, several trialists were used. We are next in action this coming Saturday with an away trip to Leek Town with a 3pm kick-off.
