There has been an important fixture change. We now visit Nantwich Town on December the 14th at 3pm instead of Radcliffe. This leaves us with no fixture on January the 4th but we do have four fixtures currently without a date.
The club would like to thank former Premiership manager Danny Wilson for taking charge of the side for the visit of Mickleover Sports yesterday and for his work for the club in training last week. The search for a new manager should be resolved this week with news on our social media outlets when known.
There was a special guest of honour at the game with Mickleover. Ken Shirley was a local player who made nearly 400 appearances for the club in the 1960's and he was presented with memento before the match by club chairman Dave Hopkins.
Defender Brad Roscoe has departed the club by mutual consent this week. Brad has found travelling from his Colne base for matches and training difficult this season and he goes with the best wishes of all at the club.
Visiting Mickleover shaded this Derbyshire 'derby' by virtue of a well-struck 8th-minute effort by ex-Burton and Coventry forward, Stuart Beavon. Try as they might, Buxton struggled to create clear openings and with the victors well-served in central defence by the physically imposing Pablo Mills plus captain and ex-Silverlander, Greg Young, but 'the Bucks' were equally sound at the back, with back-to-form Alex Brown named 'Man-of-the-Match'. Even so, Sports were able to complete their first-ever 'double' versus Buxton to leave the managerless home team worryingly close to the foot of the table....Full Report HERE
