Following Saturday's defeat at Bamber Bridge, we are next in action on Saturday with the visit of FC United of Manchester at 3pm. As always, this fixture will attract a larger than normal crowd so we are advising supporters to arrive in good time and see HERE for parking details at the stadium. Admission for all will be via the turnstiles on the Silverlands.
In other fixture news we are now away at Stafford Rangers on Tuesday 4th of February at 7-45 and also away at Basford United on Saturday 7th of March at 3pm. We have been drawn away at Newcastle Town in the Integro Cup with a date yet to be arranged.
After 3 consecutive away victories, Buxton had an excellent opportunity to make it 4 on Saturday but paid the penalty for a poor start, followed by a host of missed chances (enough to win 2 or 3 matches !) and capped by a deciding goal shown on camera to be offside!
Misplaced passes and shoddy defensive work handed the initiative to 'Brig' before the home side scored in the 5th minute. Blackpool loanee, Roache, fired a penetrating, diagonal ball in from the right for a former adversary, Richie Allen (ex-Fylde and Salford),to tap into goal. The latter was twice close to causing further damage before 'the Bucks' began to offer a threat around the 20-minute mark, taking control and fashioning as many as 4 clear, goal-scoring chances with purposeful, incisive attacking play then equalising on half-time....Full Report HERE
