A victory and a first defeat in pre-season in the last week with more players coming and going. On Tuesday it was a 2-1 win at Northwich Victoria despite falling a goal behind. The Bucks recovered though with the help of an own goal and then Callum Chippendale won the match with some sublime skill to control the ball and hit a cross shot home.
The Bucks suffered defeat at Leek Town despite dominating possession for long periods of the match. Leek took the lead in the first half and doubled the advantage on the break away with the Bucks defence pushed up for a corner. Injuries to Chippendale and Meade didn't help proceedings but there was some late joy with new loan signing Jake Hibbs netting on his first appearance.
A number of trialists are still being looked at but Jake Hibbs has joined us for 3 months on loan from Spennymoor Town. The former FC Halifax Town midfielder made a good impression at Leek yesterday. Paul Marshall, who we announced as signing last week, has already departed the club and is expected to sign for a Division One North West side.
We return to Tarmac Silverlands action for the last two pre-season matches with visits from Brighouse Town on Tuesday at 7-45 and Widnes on Friday night, also at 7-45.
