History Making Bucks

Ben Milnes levels the score. Thanks to Lee Parker.

Buxton progressed into the 1st Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time since 1962 with a 3-1, after extra-time, victory over Kettering Town at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium on Tuesday night. The Bucks had to come from behind following Kyle Perry’s effort on 58 minutes (the Bucks defence were adamant the ball had gone out of play in the build-up) but extra-time was forced when Ben Milnes netted against his former club 15 minutes later. Diego De Girolamo then bagged another ‘brace’ either side of a floodlight outage to secure the Bucks passage. Full Report HERE

The victory now means we are away at York City in the 1st Round Proper. Full details of this match and travel details will follow. It does mean that the league match with Nantwich Town on November the 6th will need a new date along with the home match with Scarborough.

This Saturday we make the long trip to the North East to play at second-placed South Shields in what is bound to be another epic encounter. The next game at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium is the Buildbase FA Trophy match with Colne on Saturday 30th of October at 3pm.
