The Bucks
The Bucks go into this game following the opening day draw against Peterborough Sports.
Jason Gilchrist’s equaliser cancelled out Dan Jarvis’s penalty, in what was a hard fought first game of the season, against the 10 men of Peterborough.
Before the game, The Bucks announced the signings of Serhat Tasdemir, Harry Bunn and Mace Goodridge.
The Bucks also have Ollie Greaves awaiting international clearance.
Opposition
Curzon Ashton lost their opening game of the season to Banbury United 2-1.
Their manager is Adam Lakeland, appointed in October 2021. He won promotion to the National League North with Farsley Celtic.
Nicknamed The Nash, they finished 14th in the league last season.
They play their games at the Tameside stadium, which has a capacity of 3000, and was opened by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2005.
One to Watch
Thomas Peers, a striker for The Nash, scored in the opening week of the season.
The 26 year old attacker impressed during his loan spell at the club from Altrincham, and has scored 8 goals in 24 games since joining the club.
Last Time Out
You have to go back to 2015 to find the last time we played Curzon, in which we drew 0-0 in the NPL Premier Division.
