BUXTON® NATURAL MINERAL WATER RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH BUXTON FC ACADEMYIN SHARED COMMITMENT TO YOUTH

BUXTON® Natural Mineral Water is proud to announce its renewed partnership with Buxton FC Youth Academy for a second year. Building on the success of last year, the sponsorship reflects both partners’ long-standing commitment to championing Buxton’s young talent, as well as supporting and investing in the wider local community.

Now in its second year, the Academy’s advanced physical and academic programme aims to nurture aspiring footballers and provide young people with the transferrable skills needed to build successful careers, both on and off the pitch.

This year, BUXTON® has expanded its support package to include content sharing across its social and digital channels to amplify the Academy and its shared ambitions. The brand will also provide complementary health and hydration education aligned with the academic programme’s course modules.

The partnership embodies BUXTON®’s current “Don’t Give Up, Rise Up” campaign, which celebrates up-and-coming British talent on their journey to the top. In their quest to forge careers in the world of football, these promising young players will learn to overcome challenges and build resilience, much like the journey of BUXTON® Natural Mineral Water that naturally rises up through a mile of British rock and finally reaches the surface in the spa town of Buxton.

To date, Nestlé Waters’ support has included new Silverlands Stadium signage, branded training shirts made from recycled materials, and enabled the Academy facility to be kitted out with state-of-the-art classrooms. The Academy currently has 47 full time students, operating in compliance with Covid-19 safety guidelines and continues to go from strength to strength.

David Hopkins, Chairman of Buxton Football Club, said: “BUXTON®’s partnership with the Academy has helped us develop the careers of our promising footballers and we are thrilled to have their support for a second year. The recovery phase post Covid-19 will be challenging and there’s never been a more important time to invest in the next generation.”

Warren Plaskett, Head of Marketing for Nestlé Waters UK, said: “We are extremely impressed by what the Academy has achieved so far, both for the young players and the town itself. Now more than ever, we recognise the importance of youth employment and are determined to be a force for good in the community.

The initiative provides the opportunity for young Bucks to nurture their passion for the game, whilst also acquiring highly transferable knowledge and skills for the workplace. BUXTON® is invested in supporting and inspiring young talent on their upward journey and we look forward to seeing the Academy flourish.”
